Song To A Seagull - Joni Mitchell best albums #7

Released in 1968 when she was 25, her first album is a haunting collection of songs, performed perfectly against her classical-pianist-influenced melodies and arrangements.

Joni thought of this as a two-part collection. The first part is melancholy (post-marriage collapse), the second deals with freedom and the sea.

Produced by David Crosby of CSN&Y fame.
